CONCORD – Today, the Senate passed SB 144, Senator Whitley’s bill to implement a 3-month pilot program to provide enrollment-based reimbursement to child care providers who accept child care scholarships through the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) plan for New Hampshire.
After the vote, Senator Whitley (D-Hopkinton) issued the following statement:
“Access to safe, affordable child care is key to rebuilding the state’s economy. This simple policy change helps to level the playing field for families qualifying for child care scholarships, incentivizing child care programs to open their doors to more families, and provide much needed stability to working parents. Today’s vote reflects months of hard work and bipartisan compromise and I am grateful to my Senate colleagues for their continued support.”
