CONCORD – Yesterday, the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs Committee voted Ought to Pass on SB 444. Prime sponsored by Senator Becky Whitley (D-Hopkinton), SB 444 builds on the many years of work to improve the children’s mental health system in the state and helps identify solutions to better support New Hampshire’s youngest children. The bill will next go before the full House for a vote.
Prime sponsor, Senator Becky Whitley (D-Hopkinton) issued the following statement in response:
“SB 444 is a huge win for New Hampshire’s most vulnerable children. This critical legislation builds on the important work done in SB 14 and recognizes that early intervention impacts can improve children’s cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical health and wellbeing. I am grateful to my House colleagues for their support and looking forward to our continued bipartisan efforts to support the children’s mental health system of care.”
