CONCORD – Today, $12 million of the CAREs Act Coronavirus Relief Funds were allocated to provide financial relief for New Hampshire’s live performance venues.
Senator Shannon Chandley (D-Amherst), who worked extensively with leaders of New Hampshire’s arts community while leading the Arts Working Group of the Governor’s Reopening Task Force issued this statement following the announcement:
“Our live performance venues were among the first businesses to close and face one of the most challenging roads to recovery. Despite this, they have been tireless in their efforts to continue providing cultural enrichment to the state of New Hampshire. The persistence and dedication of our live performance venues is to be commended. I am pleased to see this new source of relief funding and look forward to our artists’ continued excellence.”
