CONCORD – Today Senate Republicans voted ITL on SB 115. Prime sponsored by Senator Sue Prentiss (D-West Lebanon), SB 115 would have established greenhouse gas emission reduction goals for the state and establish a climate action plan.
After the vote, prime sponsor Senator Sue Prentiss (D-West Lebanon) issued the following statement:
“It is up to each and every one of us to do our part to protect and preserve our environment. We know that climate change is directly attributable to human activity and development and, if left unchecked, the global climate crisis will have devastating effects on New Hampshire’s residents, economy, and environment. I am disappointed that my Republican colleagues chose not to recognize the gravity of the situation and voted against efforts that would have helped move New Hampshire towards a more sustainable future.”
