CONCORD - Today, Senate Republicans pushed forward a series of fiscally irresponsible tax cuts which will only benefit a small percentage of wealthy Granite Staters and out-of-state-corporations.
After the vote, Senator Lou D’Allesandro (D-Manchester) issued the following statement:
“The tax cuts pushed by Senate Republicans today were like watching Robin Hood in reverse. Each cut steals from the poor in order to give more to the rich. These cuts represent a loss of around $130 million in the coming years. That is desperately needed money that could be used to fund our homeless shelter services, public education system, and mental health system of care. I am disappointed to see my Republican colleagues continue to support this fiscally irresponsible measure that will only serve to reduce the future funding of essential services for the vast majority of hardworking Granite Staters.”
