CONCORD – Today, the Senate passed SB 44, Senator Jay Kahn’s (D-Keene) bill to establish the New Hampshire workforce pathway program and commission.

After the vote, prime sponsor Senator Jay Kahn (D-Keene) issued the following statement:

“The Community College System of NH is an agile education partner in meeting NH’s workforce needs. The Workforce Pathway Program aims to better link unemployed and underemployed adults with skills required to fill the employer vacancies. The program asks Employment Security, with its workforce economists and access to those looking for work, and Economic Affairs with its business development staff, to work with CCSNH to complete the workforce pipeline. SB 44 closes gaps in our workforce pathways, gets Granite Staters back to work, and builds a better credentialed workforce. I thank my colleagues for their support of our workers, our businesses, and our economy.”
