Senate Passes SB 101, Relieves Tax Burden for Small Businesses

CONCORD – Today, the Senate voted ought to pass on SB 101, Senate Democratic Leader Donna Soucy’s (D-Manchester) bill to increase the business income threshold at which businesses must file a business profits tax return.
After the vote, prime sponsor Senate Democratic Leader Donna Soucy (D-Manchester) issued the following statement:
“The passage of SB 101 is a win for New Hampshire’s small business economy. This simple but critical change will relieve our small businesses of an unnecessary financial and administrative burden at a time when many of them are struggling under the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I thank my colleagues for their support of our small businesses and look forward to bringing this bill before the House.”
