CONCORD - Today, Senator Lou D’Allesandro publicly called on Governor Chris Sununu to issue a statewide mask mandate during a meeting of the GOFERR Legislative Advisory Board. The Legislative Advisory Board split 4-4 on party lines on whether to encourage the governor to issue the mandate.

“We have heard from the CDC, national experts, and our own state epidemiologist that masks are the key to preventing the spread of the coronavirus. It is a simple, commonsense measure that has been proven to reduce positive cases. If we truly care about getting New Hampshire back on track, we all need to do our part. I urge Governor Sununu to do the right thing that makes the most sense for the citizens of New Hampshire and join the 32 other states who have put public safety first and issued a state wide mask mandate.”
