CONCORD - Today, HB 1182, an omnibus transportation bill that includes the 10-year transportation plan, was delivered to the Secretary of State. It next goes to the governor’s desk where he will have five business days to sign, veto, or allow the bill to become law without his signature.
Senate Transportation Chair David Watters (D-Dover) issued the following statement in response:
“Infrastructure and transportation are the lifeblood of our economy. Through the collaborative efforts of the House Public Works Committee, the Senate Transportation Committee, and NHDOT Commissioner Victoria Sheehan and her team, HB 1182 is designed to move New Hampshire towards economic recovery by putting people to work and creating a more resilient and energy efficient system. The 10-Year Highway Plan incorporated in the amended language of HB 1182 improves existing infrastructure and acts as a much needed job creator during a time when record numbers of Granite Staters are without work. I look forward to the governor’s signature of this critical legislation.”
