CONCORD - Today, the Senate passed HB 1182, an omnibus transportation bill that includes the 10-year transportation plan. HB 1182 next goes to the House of Representatives for a concurrence vote, which requires a simple majority.
After the committee vote, Senator David Watters (D-Dover) issued the following statement:
“New Hampshire’s transportation system is essential to our economic growth and recovery. At both the state and federal level, action must be taken to allow transportation to drive our economy as we put people to work. When we develop a more resilient and energy efficient system across land, water, and air we create new jobs and stimulate a robust new economy. In the 10-Year Highway Plan we look to improve both our existing infrastructure and work towards a 21st century, multimodal transportation system.”
