Senate Expands Access to Association Health Plans
CONCORD, NH—Today, the New Hampshire Senate voted 14-10 in favor of SB 228, relative to multiple-employer welfare arrangements.
Senator Feltes (D-Concord), prime sponsor of SB 228, released the following statement after the vote:
“Ensuring Granite Staters have access to quality, affordable health care is one of my top priorities. SB 228 acknowledges that small businesses need more health care options while putting critical protections in place to ensure the expansion of Association Health Plans does not result in the destabilization of the individual and small group markets.”
