New Hampshire Senate Adopts “Sunny-Day” Fund
CONCORD—Today, the New Hampshire Senate passed SB 247, to establish a Sunny-Day Fund.
Prime sponsor Senator Dietsch (D-Peterborough) released the following statement after the vote:
“Today’s vote is an exciting step in the right direction to increase innovation, competitiveness, productivity, and workforce attraction in New Hampshire. Now, while the economy is strong, is the time to seed investment by providing innovation and university research grants that will make it less likely we need to tap the rainy-day fund in a future downturn.”
