New Hampshire Senate Adopts Legislation to Fund Capitol Corridor Rail Project
CONCORD—Today the New Hampshire Senate voted 14-10 to pass SB 241, which enables New Hampshire to access federal funds to undertake an in-depth analysis of the financial, engineering, and environmental implications of expanding rail.
Senator Levesque released the following statement after the vote:
“Passenger rail is a key component to New Hampshire’s efforts to grow our economy, ease traffic, improve commutes, and attract and retain young professionals. Today’s Senate vote is a critical next step toward establishing passenger rail through the capitol corridor project—at no cost to New Hampshire taxpayers.”
