CONCORD, NH - Today, President Obama endorsed nine New Hampshire State Senate candidates. The nine New Hampshire Senate candidates join a total of 180 candidates from 20 states in receiving President Obama's endorsement. Several of these candidates will also be featured on the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee's Spotlight Races page.
Senate Democratic Leader Donna Soucy issued the following statement:
"As a former State Senator in Illinois, President Obama understands how important it is that we elect strong leaders at the state level. His support for these nine State Senate candidates is further proof that the New Hampshire State Senate is one of the most competitive legislative chambers in the country. In November we will elect a Democratic majority dedicated to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be successful. We will protect public education, pass paid family and medical leave, and ensure that everyone has access to quality, affordable health care. I am incredibly proud of our entire team of Democratic candidates across the state and know that with their hard work, we will elect a Democratic majority in November.
