NH District 7
Andrew Hosmer is serving his first term as the State Senator from District 7 serving Andover, Belmont, Boscawen, Canterbury, Franklin, Gilford, Northfield, Salisbury, Webster and his home town of Laconia. For the 2013-2014 legislative session, Sen. Hosmer sits on the Commerce and Ways & Means Committees.
Away from the State house, Andrew is general manager of AutoServ, his family’s automotive business. His wife Donna is a dealer principal at AutoServ, which consists of 7 new car franchises (Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Nissan, VW and Kia) with 150 employees.
Sen. Hosmer began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Hampden County, Massachusetts, where he prosecuted a wide range of criminal offenses and successfully argued in front of the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.
Aside from his work with AutoServ, Andrew also serves as the Chairman of the Holy Trinity Endowment Trust of St. Joseph’s Church, and coaches youth soccer in Laconia. Andrew has previously served on the Concord Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Belknap County Economic Development Council. Andrew and his family are active in the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, the Lakes Region United Way, Lakes Region Community Services, the Winni Playhouse, Lakes Region General Hospital and the Laconia Boys and Girls Club. Andrew and Donna live in Laconia with their four children.
Sen. Hosmer is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he received his B.A. and Suffolk University School of Law where he received his J.D.
